.SH DESCRIPTION
.B savconfig
is the tool used to set and query configuration for Sophos Anti-Virus.

.SH OPTIONS
The following options can be used:

\-\-(no)append
Append values to a list parameter.
.TP
\-\-(no)lock
Prevent values from being overridden by the User layer.
.TP
\-u, \-\-user
Access information exclusively from the User layer. This is always the default when setting values.
.TP
\-A, \-\-consoleav
Access information exclusively from the Console Anti-virus Policy layer. Only read access is allowed to the default configuration file.

\-U, \-\-consoleupdate
Access information exclusively from the Console Update Policy layer. Only read access is allowed to the default configuration file.

\-c, \-\-corporate
Access information exclusively from the Corporate layer. Only read access is allowed to the default configuration file.

\-s, \-\-sophos
Access information exclusively from the Sophos layer. Only read access is allowed to the default configuration file.

Use an alternative configuration file. Write access is allowed for the Corporate layer.

If used with query/get operation and no parameters are specified, display values of basic parameters. If used with query/get operation and a parameter is specified, display name and value of parameter. If used with help operation and no parameters are specified, display help for basic parameters.

If used with query/get operation, --all/-v, and no parameters are specified, display values of basic and advanced parameters. If used with help operation, --all/-v, and no parameters are specified, display help for basic and advanced parameters.

The following operations can be used:

Assign a value to a parameter.

add PARAMETER VALUE
Append a value to a list parameter.

remove PARAMETER VALUE
Remove a value from a list parameter.

delete PARAMETER
Remove a parameter.

query/get [PARAMETER]
Output the value of a parameter. If no parameters are specified then the values of all parameters are output. If a layer is specified then only the value(s) in that layer are output. If no layer is specified then the values from all layers are combined and output.

help
Display help information.

add NamedScans SCAN_NAME FILENAME|-
Add a scan named SCAN_NAME, reading its definition from FILENAME or standard input.

Update a scan named SCAN_NAME, reading its new definition from FILENAME or standard input.

Allow access to devices with infected boot sectors.

Automatic actions to take when detecting an infection.

Email
Recipients of email alerts.

EmailDemandSummaryIfThreat
Send email summary of on-demand scan only if a threat is detected.

EmailLanguage
Language to be used in email alerts. Select 'English' or 'Japanese'.

EmailNotifier
Enable email alerts.

EmailServer
IP address of the SMTP server for email alerts. Optionally, the port may be specified as IP-ADDRESS:PORT.

EnableOnStart
Start on-access protection when the Sophos Anti-Virus daemon, savd, is started.

Exclude
Files or directories to exclude from scanning. If the path specification includes wildcards, it is added to the parameter ExcludeFileOnGlob. Otherwise, it is added to the parameter ExcludeFilePaths.
