.SH DESCRIPTION
.B savscand
is the on-access scanner that detects viruses, worms, Trojans and other threats.
It runs as a background (daemon) process, and scans files when they are opened, executed or closed.
If a threat is detected, access to the file is refused, preventing the malicious
content from being executed, being distributed or causing damage to the computer or valuable data.
.B savd
provides control, logging and email alerts for
.B savscand.
